About Us

Chris Hession
PartnerAs a Lichfield local, my drive has always been to shape the local environment to best serve the local community. Coming from an accounting background, I have long since seen the benefits that proper, well considered development can bring to our area.
My journey in the development sector has been defined by an unwavering commitment to excellence. I firmly believe that a home is more than just bricks and mortar; it is a sanctuary where memories are made and futures are shaped. In my role as a partner, I am driven to ensure that every home we build reflects the highest standards of craftsmanship, innovation, and design.
At the heart of our vision is a dedication to sustainability. I am passionate about incorporating eco-friendly practices into our projects, with a focus on reducing our carbon footprint. By prioritizing sustainability in our designs, we not only contribute to a greener future but also offer our homeowners the opportunity to embrace a low carbon lifestyle.

PartnerNothing inspires me more than saving old buildings from demolition, bringing them back in to life with sympathetic refurbishment. Though I must admit, design and building houses that mimic the Victorian architectural style also gives me great pleasure.
When we started Hessleby it gave Chris and I a chance to run with this philosophy, saving our remarkably beautiful building stock from decay, allowing us to preserve our architectural heritage and also create homes with the lowest embodied carbon – via reuse.
Being of a structural engineering background, it has become my obsession to build new homes with details that mimic the architecture of old, but provide the modern standard of living we all deserve. This means avoiding plastic on the externals where possible, looking at neighbouring properties for elements we can use to blend in and the all critical material specifications that produce houses that we can be proud to call Hessleby developments.
